Our Current Fellows & Affiliates

The Economic Society is made up of a diverse community of students united by a passion for economics and the social sciences.

Our Fellows are graduate and undergraduate students who lead and contribute to the Society’s academic life. Most study economics, though many also bring fresh perspectives from adjacent fields.

Fellows are affiliated with at least one discussion group, where they engage in in-depth discussions of research papers. They are expected to present at least once in the core seminar series each academic year. Learn more on the Seminars page.

Starting AY 2025/26, we are excited to launch our Affiliate Program, designed for first- and second-year Bachelor students.

Affiliates participate in introductory reading groups and workshops that are more accessible while still offering a taste of the rigor of academic discussion. Each Affiliate is paired with a dedicated Fellow buddy, gaining guidance and support as they begin exploring the world of economics.

As they progress throughout their path, Affiliates may become Fellows by showing demonstrated interest and attitude.
