Starting your university journey is an exciting time: from foundational theories to emerging questions in policy, from the formulation of economic mechanisms to the analysis of data - there is certainly a lot to explore.
The Affiliateship Program is designed to support first- and second-year undergraduate students who are curious about economic research and the fundamentals of social sciences.

How does it work?
Affiliate-Fellow Matching
During the recruitment process, candidates are asked to express their aspirations and economic interests.
Affiliates are then matched with a buddy Fellow, a third-year bachelor's or master's student.
Buddies act as a point of reference for navigating readings, preparing a presentation, and engaging in the association’s activities.
Reading
Groups
Affiliates take part in multiple reading groups.
Each reading group focuses on a paper from academic or policy-oriented economic literature, chosen by the presenting Affiliate, with the help of their buddy.
Affiliates may present in pairs, supported by explanatory materials and technical introductions from their buddy.
Interactive
Workshops
Affiliates also participate in one workshop per semester, led by current Fellows.
The goal of workshops is to provide practical guidance and a deeper understanding on how academic research is made.
Topics include an introduction to the research and publishing processes, paths in economics, insights on potential careers.
Become
a Fellow
Your experience with us does not end with the completion of your second-year bachelor studies.
Pending an informal interview, Affiliates effectively become Fellows. The meeting confirms the Affiliate's economic interests and allows the Affiliate to consciously select the Seminar group that will characterise their Fellowship experience.
