Our Seminars

Seminars are the core activity here at the Economic Society. They represent an invaluable opportunity for learning and being exposed to recent academic research. Fellows present and explain papers or theses. Our aim is to discover, learn and discuss: a lot of time is devoted to an in-depth discussion.

To facilitate discussion, seminars are held within three thematic discussion groups, but fellows are encouraged to attend seminars from other groups as well!

One goal, two formats

Since AY 2025/26, each discussion group can host meetings in two different formats. These are meant to accomodate different approaches to share and disseminate knowledge. Find out more!

Our Core Seminar Series is meant to probe deeply into the issues investigated by the papers presented. Duration ensure that the presenting fellow can discuss the totality of the paper of their choice in all its details, and answer all relevant questions from the audience throughout - just like at an economics departments!

Duration: 45 minutes

So much has been discussed so far!
